Is there an age limit?
Anyone can enjoy the excitement of a gift flight or have a trial
lesson.
Our oldest passenger so far was 100 and our youngest was just 3 !
So it doesn’t matter how old or young you are, age is
not a problem.

How many people can fly at a time?
Our Robinson R22 helicopters are two-seat aircraft. So there is room
for one passenger or trainee pilot in addition to the company pilot.

How much actual flying time will I get?
You can choose a 30, 40, or 60-minute flight. These are the actual
flight times.
However, before the flight itself (and included in the cost) we allow
30 minutes to show you how the controls work and explain how to fly
the helicopter.

What sites will be seen on a Gift Flight?
Some of the notable points during a flight may include: Portishead,
Bristol Docks, bridges over the
Severn, Clifton Suspension Bridge,
Camera
Obscura, Bristol Zoo, SS Great Britain and
Matthew, and the Bristol City
Football ground.

What happens during a Trial Lesson?
After the pre-flight briefing, checks, strapping in and engine start,
we initially lift off into the hover with you following through on the
controls.
This is a good opportunity for any of your friends on the ground
to take some photographs.
|
Then it’s literally straight up to 1500 feet, level out and the pilot
will hand over control to you. Under the direction of the company pilot it
will be up to you to fly the helicopter.
You’ve actually got to fly the machine yourself!
Almost everyone finds they can rise to the challenge and are very surprised at their
newfound self-confidence and ability. Give it a try!
