Bristol Helicopters was established at Bristol International Airport in 1992 by Mike Pheby.   Since then, the company has trained many pilots who have obtained their licences and continue to fly for either business or pleasure.

Astra Helicopters was established in 2000 to offer pilot training in the M4 corridor, Swindon and Cotswolds area.  Its operational base is conveniently situated at Kemble airfield.

We own two new Robinson R22 Beta II (2 seat) helicopters, which are fully equipped with the latest GPS, avionics and night flying equipment.

We also operate a Robinson R44 (4 seat) and carry out turbine conversions on the Jet Ranger and Hughes 500.
Further courses in Mountain and Night flying are available and each year we join Heli-Meets abroad in locations such as Paris and Monaco.
